· PREPARING THE SOIL BEFORE PLANTING OR SOWING
- Preparing the soil: till the ground 15 to 20 cm deep (6 to 8 inches) and crumble the dirt. Add a 5 to 8 cm layer (2 to 3 inches) of Fertilized White Peat.
- General care: Twice a year, in fall and spring, replace the top 5 to 8 cm layer (2 to 3 inches) where you’ve planted with the same volume of Fertilized White Peat in order to bring fresh nutrients.
· PLANTING GREEN AND FLOWERING PLANTS, SHRUBS, TREES, FRUIT-BEARING TREES, VEGETABLES
- Dig a hole 3 to 4 times the size of the root ball.
- Pull the plant out of its container, untangle the roots that have started twisting inside the container, cut at least 1/3 of the roots clean off with a pruner.
- Water generously the root ball. Mix 2/3 of Fertilized White Peat with 1/3 garden soil.
- Fill the remainder of the hole around the root ball and Pack. Cover the plant up to the base of the stem and water again.
· CREATING AND REJUVENATING LAWNS
- Crumble the dirt in order to obtain a fairly fine structure. Spread a 40 L bag (10.5 gal) of Fertilized White Peat for every 10 m2 (~100 ft2). Sow the lawn and water.
- In early spring and in fall, once you have removed the moss and other weeds, spread the peat onto all bare patches. Sow seeds and water.
