· REPOTTING AND PLANTING BONSAIS EXCLUSIVELY IN POTS
Repotting should be performed when roots start being visible outside the root ball. Cut off between 1/3 and half of the roots.
- Choose a pot larger than the previous one and place at its bottom a fine mesh and a 1 to 2 cm layer (0.4 to 0.8 inch) of gravel or clay pebbles for drainage.
- Run some wire through the mesh to help fix the bonsai.
- Fill with Tonusol’s Organic Bonsai Soil up to the base of the trunk and rain some water down abundantly. Wait at least 2 months before adding an organic fertilizer.
· ADVICE TO SUCCESSFULLY GROW YOUR BONSAIS
- Watering: wait until the soil is a little dry, spray once a day in summer, once a week in winter.
- General care: replace half of the soil every year because bonsai trees exhaust and break down their milieu.
- Exposure: place bonsais indoors and outdoors in a moderately sunny place and avoid drafts.
